They need someone to hold the torch so that they won't be required to light a candle!
Planned to post this for a while. The title is purely for the mob, the mob that just watches the show, throws tomatoes on disgust and walks out of the stadium cursing the magician. It is least concerned with the betterment of the show. This article is for the mob, that goes for elections, casts votes and then comes back and lays back on the sofa expecting the governance to control everything thereafter and cursing it for the things that go wrong. This one is for the mob that appoints an official for the job and finally leaves all the responsibilities for the heads to finish up and curses the system for not keeping up with the high expectations!!!
One thing that this mob forgets is that IT is also the part of the whole SYSTEM.
Why curse everyone? Why not take charge for your actions? Why not help the system flourish? Why not contribute the society to grow? Why not at least do your bit in betterment of the function?
Why do we just sit back and CURSE everyone for doing the RIGHT things the WRONG way?
Where are we to guide them, to help them, to support them, to sympathize with them when they go wrong?
Where are we to appreciate them, to encourage them, to hug them, to kiss them when they go right?
Nah! We all just choose leaders and then expect the leaders to revolutionize the system! Often we don't contest for betterment of it! If at all we do, we won't contribute if we are at the losing edge!
That's how things work! That's how people work! And that's how they show their support to the SYSTEM!
May it be CWG when the media and the mob cursed India for its pre-actions! May it be the State Governance, where the media and the mob curses India for the conditions of the roads and the sanitary problems! May it be the Union Leader, where he is cursed by the mob for not getting things done as they desired for!
But you know what? Even if we all contribute our cent of the work, I'm sure even a handful will make a dollar of a dream!
If you have chosen a torch-bearer, don't just leave all the darkness to him. Go and light your own candle and help him combat the dark, rather than expecting him to guide you through it.
Rise, help, contribute......

I'm sure we'll make a dream society a day! A day not far if we shall rise today!

Top Ten Things to do while in college…
I think you might be interested in knowing people's perspective about spending college life qualitatively and might have even gone through some of related articles already, so I thought to share my own views on this matter....
I believe there are few things that all undergrads must be aware of to make full use of their college years in a learnable yet enjoyable way...Here follows the list.
Happy scrolling :
10) Try out new things you've never ever done earlier.

There is so much to learn in a college, not in the classes of course; in the backyard- yes, your hostel! You can definitely try out new things; for instance try out a new genre of music, say rock, if you’ve never listened to it. Try out new sports or games to increase your dimensions. Try out new food and expand your delicacies. Try out learning new languages from your friends who already know them, if that’s your bet. Try out new musical instruments, play that damn’ guitar or that damn’ mouth organ kept in your friend’s rack. Try out new novels, new movies, new activities like skating or swimming there is so much to see and learn. You'll never ever get this much time to do it. Embrace it.
9) Visit hell lots of places

These four/ five years are the best you’ll ever get to see different places with the best of company possible. Once you enter your job, you’ll slowly loose touch with your friends and rarely will you all get together for a famous spot. There is so much to visit out there and even much more time to do it. Make a north trip, a weekend trip, an industrial tour….surely these memories will mean a lot more…plus u will get to see all those place too….
8) Develop your alternate skills.

After living here for three full years, I can certainly say that there is something other than that studious brain that made you get into this college. May be anything- guitar, rock, karate, creative writing, designing, painting, social service, dance, and singing or may be anything else. Believe me no matter where you are, you definitely will get ample of time and enough of space to multifold your knack in this one. Meet people who are better or equal in your interest area. You will never get a better platform to widen out your skill than in college. And even if you do it for one hour daily, imagine how much you’d learn in just one semester, leave alone whole four years. Surely, it would be awesome if you have one alternate skill other than just your CGPA.
7) Get a college T (1).

I read this in some blog and actually found it so much fascinating, I actually have planned to get one for sure before I leave this place. Ok, what this one says is to buy a college T shirt / pullovers, whatever and get your friends and / or even professors sign all over it. You definitely won’t get a better trophy, certi, memento or whatever than this one. Many years down the lane, this could actually be one of the most precious memories of your college life.
6) Remove that "Forget-me-not. Will-call-later" thought!

Yeah, you sure would be having lot of friends, relatives, cousins back there in the prologue to your college. (Remember, I am not including your family in this! because I expect you'll be in regular touch with them). Call some of your old friends, at least a person per week or so. And don't make an excuse for call rates, as you have one of the cheapest call rates of the world. If you can spend nights talking to your girlfriend, you can surely take a day biweekly and call a friend for some five minutes. Keep in touch with them. Don’t just postpone thinking that you will call them tomorrow. Believe me, you NEVER will.
New people stepping in your life don’t mean you need to rub the old footsteps. Try to send them birthday cards by post, even if little expensive ones; at least to extremely closed ones, including your parents. This will definitely mean a lot to them.
5) Participate in events, have ambitions!

Don’t just sit back there and curse everyone for doing the right things the wrong way.
Come up! Be gutsy enough to ask for things, to try for things.
Someone said ‘Be the change you want to see.’ That’s a whole lot true and you will realize it over the years. Any event, whether cultural, technical, social would help you evolve. It will give you confidence, courage and creativity. You’ll be amazed at how much you’ll learn at talking to people or managing people than you could ever learn from any of those best selling books. Kiss the criticism you’ll get. Explore the friendships while you climb the steps. Evolve! After that’s the reason why you are here. Believe me, the classes are not teaching you anything new. I repeat, as I feel this very important. Try to evolve!!!!
4) Talk to people. Be social, when in a society.

Remember this one small thing- No one, and I mean absolutely no one apart from your group needs to talk to you and he never will. You are the one who must approach and learn. Any batch in itself is self-sufficient in the strength and surely you don’t require to talk to seniors, juniors or for that matter even people of states other than yours. But you are surely missing a lot of things. Talk to people and you’ll learn what they are planning for their careers. Talk to people and you’ll find how versatile human psychologies really exist. Talk to people and build networks. You never know, you may probably be placed in the some company where some of your senior is already placed in. You never know, you many even choose some further studies program which one of your senior would have already chosen. And not just seniors, your classmates, your juniors- interact with all and make the most.
3) Choose Internships wisely!

I don’t know of other colleges, but for my college, one thing you’ll probably hear every time about is internships and how much they’ll be helpful in getting a job, getting a PPO or even a better career. Industrial internships, research internships, in country internship, abroad internship. Whatever! You’ll hear how much you’ll have to toil through during the internship. Internships could actually be one whole topic to discuss in itself; but to shorten it out, I’ll say that they are definitely going to be an amazing step of your life, leave alone the college life. If you’re sure in which career you’re going to land into (for instance, designing, simulation, core field etc) an internship will surely add a plus to your experience. Abroad interns are charmy - they offer for most of you the first international experience, plus an opportunity to explore new places, meet and greet different cultures and most of all, learn self-dependency.
Industrial interns on other hand are supercool too. Because unlike research interns, they actually give you a glimpse about what you’ll be doing the rest of your life after you finish off with your studies. In this respect, industrial interns do add a big valuable experience to your quiver. Whatever it is, try for interns; just don’t sit out there on that sofa and wait for others to manifest an offer for you. The more you’ll undergo these sessions, the more clearer you’ll become about how comfortable will you be with future prospects- jobs, ph.d, ms etc.
Also wisely choose an intern. Remember that just because it is an intern, doesn't mean that it has to suck!
2) Take lots, lots, lots and helllll lots of photographs (2).

I found this in one of an MIT graduate’s blog and I am not mentioning this just to add weight to this point; in fact I am mentioning this because most of you will have all four years without any pictures to share college memories or reminiscence them later. Take as much cool snaps as you can. Have a snap for every special moment you share- your birthday, your trips, your achievements or even your treats. You might still be sad about the fact of not having pics of some trips for those school picnics, but don’t miss out now. Go get yourself a cam or even grab some friend’s cam or cellphone and start clicking some memories.
1) Learn the ‘B’ for business.

College is a whole bag of days and you will find there are enough ways of making money. With the growing craze about entrepreneurship, at least every two out of five kids claim you that they will end up being an entrepreneur sooner or later in their life. In fact that’s what people claim to be their satisfactory position. There are lots of ways for making money. Freelancing, Website Development, Starting up a business, writing a book, writing articles for newspapers or whatever, college surely offers you lot of time to at least start up with a business plan. And yes, there will be lots of college-mates you can take help off. Don’t just discard this one, saying it to be overmature.. Just go through Rich dad poor dad, The Warren Buffet Way or some business book for that matter. In fact click here for knowing how to earn money through web or here to just motivate yourself for making money , and you may probably strike on some idea of your own.
Enjoy the college life. Hug it, kiss it, live it!

A&I 1 : Never make anyone feel small
Foreword : A&I stands for 'Aspire And Inspire', a series of articles on the topic I love the most : Observations and Predicting Reactions.
I'd try to pile up articles based on my personal learning and understanding.
Oliver Wendell Holmes once attended a meeting in which he was the shortest man present. "Dr. Holmes," quipped a friend, "I should think you'd feel rather small among us big fellows." "I do," retorted Holmes, "I feel like a dime among a lot of pennies."
Do you think Holmes was really impressed with the concern the fellowman showed for his height? And do you think the fellowman would have not felt offended when Mr. Holmes charged against him and had his mouth shut?
Make anyone feel small and I bet you have hurt his self-esteem. If you have money and show it off in public, be sure that someone would plan to rob you out. If you have degrees and try to boast off in public, be sure that someone would pledge to buy you out. For one thing is certain, everyone, and I do mean EVERYONE, is interested in his/ her own life. I, you, we are least bothered about other person's life. A sleepless night would mean more to you than thousands of sleepless people due to a thunderstorm in some African region. That's the truth! None is interested in how much rich you are unless you prove to be a potential asset for them. All your boasting of richness are doing nothing more than making me feel small and weak in front of you. Consequently, I'd lose respect for you.
Let me describe one of my personal experiences.
I was in my home preparing some tea for one of the uncles who had shown up all of a sudden. The uncle after having praised me for my education and summer project began a discussion, supposedly to show his own knowledge. While I was busy adding some sugar and tea leaves to the hot vessel, he was busy asking me about the position holders in m.p. state government system. He told about how certain roads were built by person X. And then he asked me, do I know who person X is? Clearly, I didn't and he did. And then he'd continue how I am unaware of this current situation (as if it was more necessary than air I was breathing) and told me what position that person X held in mp. state council. Then he began a discussion on some another person Y and again questioned me about whether I knew who person Y was? Eventually, he'd reveal the life saving secrets to me one by one about the MP State Council members.
Alright, now let's analyze all this. Do you really think, it'd have made me happy to learn about the members of MP State Council after each realization of how 'unaware' I was! Absolutely not! In fact I don't even remember the names of those candidates today. And do you think I'd really praise him for his awareness and knowledge when I'd talk about him to my parents or friends? :P
That's it! Make anyone feel small and you have done the greatest crime you could mentally do to any person.
I might sound a preacher, but I hope it helps you that when next time you're in front of any person, don't try to make anyone feel small. :)

And I miss them...
Its really strange how we feel sometimes that those particular moments we spent with our friends should be frozen, that they should never end....and yet as time passes we somehow lose the nostalgia...
Today when I visit my place, often there is a whole long list of people, I just don't find time to meet with.....About Them? Yes, of course they are too busy with their lives as well...
Once, it seemed almost impossible to spend a day without greeting them, and today, it seems the whole life possible without meeting them...
You think, I don't care for my relations? I do. And seriously, I do.
But it just happens.....we miss the moments we spent together...sometimes cherish them when we meet..but we have lost that warmth, we have lost that comfort down the lane..and yes, I miss them..
When I check my mails, it is highly frequent to find those glowing green dots in front of my friends' names....yet neither do I take my cursor to the name, and nor do they do it.
So, here we are...
This is it....and this is how it is always....
in my case, in your case, and I'm quite sure, in everybody's case...
Sometimes I know they have arrived in town and eagerly wait for them to come up and meet me...but alas! they don't..
And no wonder I do the same with some.....
It is what we call..."MOVE ON"
Yes, life moves on....time moves on....people move on....relations move on....only the moments get frozen forever in one of the leaflets of our life,
and surely you find it chilled, cold, frozen right there in your memories...but with it you'll realize you have lost that warmth... :(

CHOICES = f(x) ; x = ???
So, this is one of the most interesting puzzles....at least to me...I have always believed that there is a connection between choices of a person..obviously of entirely different fields....
Let me state an example...Suppose there are 4 completely unknown persons standing before you and you are bound to select one person as a friend for ur whole life...You know nothing of either of them...then how'd u choose one??? And do u think all the people will have a common choice???
No...we all would have independent choices...While some of us might be choosing a sincere face, some might be tempted for person with attitude..others might get fascinated by looks..or whatever..
So, in all we have different choices...Now, what I have always thought is that our choices resemble a pattern...
That means, if I have a certain choice in one stream, I'd have a definite liking for some option in another genre, which will be associated to my previous choice in some manner..
Seems complicated???
It sure is...
It seems complicated when i try to describe my own choices to others...
For instance, I love horror movies, I love wrestling, I am a big Kajol fan...does that resemble any pattern..??
No at least not apparent.. But still I believe there is a connection to what I like and what I dislike and my love for one genre somehow determines my liking in a completely different genre..
Well, if at all there is a pattern, then on what variables does this function depends???
For one, it is how you are raised up and what your closest people liked (they may be ur parents, ur big bros and sisters or even friends). There cud also be an inherent liking for things...but this again must be a factor of the first variable somehow...
Yet another factor cud be out of revolting, i.e. u tend to like things because others condemned it.....The reverse cud be true as well....sometimes ppl may irritate u with something by praising it a lot...
Finally u may also develop forced liking or disliking for something as well......
And so what ultimately happens is that ur choice shows reflection in different streams as well....
So, in all three variables = environmental factors :) , inherent liking and likes/ dislikes of others around u..
But again this is my opinion...
Hope to deduce a pattern someday soon 8) and will tell u when I am done ...
For now, if u can think of any more factors, do let me know... :)

It's time to think
There are many things we just accept as they are. Never ever do we give a thought, as to why so and so thing takes place? We have a self-coined answer for the question. Gradually we convince ourselves. Later we make them our perceptions, and forget to ponder over the truthfulness of it.
I'll tell you few examples of some common perceptions we usually make and forget to think about.
*Ever imagined why the keys of the keyboard are in such haphazard fashion, particularly in the QWERTY style? You think you have an answer, don't you? And probably the answer is- because it makes typing easy. Well, the reality is that this style was initiated to actually make typing difficult, so that the keys don't get damaged easily. Did this ever occur to you? May be yes, may be not. Well, let me tell you another of common wrong perception.
I was surfing through Wikipedia yesterday, and had a chance to clear another of my misconception. Jesus Christ! Oh, that wasn't just the exclamation. That was actually the misconception I was talking about. As per the meaning, as some of you might already know, it should have been popularly known as Christ Jesus, i.e. the anointed one Jesus (covered in oil / pure one). And yes, Christ is not the surname of Jesus, as some of you might be thinking.(I actually thought that :D). What I wanted to point out is that- we hear things, we see things, we accept them and never give a thought as to why they occur in a particularly fashion. Had we been that inquisitive, numerous wrong perceptions in the history would have been solved well before they actually got. No wonder it took 1700 Anno Domini to realize that apples fall on ground ;)
Had the people not been self-convinced, no sentences would have been given by the church when postulates regarding sun-centered solar system or regarding roundness of Earth were proposed. There might be numerous cases around us still waiting to be discovered, but we are unaware of them. Why? Because we just don't seem to have time. Some are busy with jobs, some with exams, some with playing. Who has time to wait and think on simple concepts? And why should it really affect one's life? Would it have mattered, had I continued to believe that Christ is Jesus's surname? Would it have mattered, had I believed that Earth was flat? Apart from lowering my G.K. score, which actually is of little use in my stream; I would have had a perfect normal life. Had I been a strong self-convinced person, I could have lead my life actually inventing new polymers (if at all I do that) and devising new synthesis procedures, and it wouldn't even have occurred to me that my perceptions were wrong. That's one reason, people so busy with their own lives hardly ever pay attention to life around them. Apples had been falling over for hell knows how many years, but went unnoticed until 1700. And the man who noticed the falling apples, became a name in the book you and your 1700 generations would remember. Things had been floating and sinking for billions of centuries, but was noticed by just one name. And that name since 212BC floated through the pages of physics and history.
The world is doing inventions. Bombs are made, clones are designed, extraterrestrials are explored. Yet,the most fundamental and simplest things might be still craving to be discovered. Aha! Neither the apple-man, nor the buoyancy man received a noble prize, but you my friend still have the chance :)
Just be alert, be questioning, and who knows, you might find your name in my books too.. ;) lol
Wish karo, dis karo (discovery karo...) :D

Why do people behave so different in public???
You ought to do things in group that you might not have done, if alone. Yesterday, while I was attending some Dussehra ceremonies in a temple, I found these guys with T-shirts carrying the captions : ‘Girls are like drugs…’ , ‘Wanna date with me?’ , ‘FCUK you’ etc. and I was really shocked to see guys wearing such clothes at a famous temple like this. They all were with their friends. And I believe, that it could be the only possible reason they’d wear such clothes. Why?? Did they wish to show their immense knowledge over girls and English Literature? Of course not !!! A few days back, I reread the book ‘How to win friends and..’ by Dale Carnegie. And the only phrase that came to my mind on looking these guys is the one used a hundred times in that book; and the line is : ‘Because it gave them their feeling of importance.’ These same guys if abused for their religion in some foreign place may actually prove themselves to be the greatest saint of the nation. Then why did they do it? Because that gave them a sense of doing something distinct, something courageous, something their friends would regard as ‘boldness’ , something that yields a sense of importance among their friends’ circle.
That reminds me of an article by Baxi sir, in which he wrote how students misbehave in class. Ever thought why it happens in college and not at school? Because, their group cheers them for doing the act, while in school it was jeered.
People tend to act bully or rowdy while in group, but they’d seem peaceful, if alone. They do it exactly for one reason – Bond banane ke liye. As that ‘bond’ thing gives them a sense of pride, a sense of importance.
You wouldn’t do a single thing, willingly, if it does not give you a sense of importance. Of course, your sense of importance might vary from others. One may get a sense of feeling by being a topper, the other might get by being an all-rounder, another might get by doing things other would hesitate to do and some other may get it by showing how careless he is. Absolutely! It can range from anything to everything. Just hope your sense of importance doesn’t come from the one I tried to point out. Cheers !!!!

Feeling CHESSY
Hey, I just got a brilliant chess position, and so I thought of sharing it with you all...
Those who want to go through in a hurry directly jump to the image and read below it.. (Only some basics are told before the image)
Here is a game of 1908, the black being played by a player who was supposed to be the best and yet never won any championship...
The position shown below was reached by around 21 moves.
W B
1. d4 ,d5
2. Nf3 ,e6
3. e3 ,c5
4. c4 ,Nc6
5. Nc3 ,Nf6
6. dxc5 ,Bxc5
7. a3 ,a6
8. b4 ,Bd6
9. Bb2 ,0-0 (Black did castling)
10. Qd2 ,Qe7
11. Bd3 ,dxc4
12. Bxc4 ,b5
13. Bd3 ,Rd8
14. Qe2 ,Bb7
15. 0-0 ,Ne5
16. Nxe5 ,Bxe5
17. f4 ,Bc7
18. e4 ,Rac8
19. e5 ,Bb6+
20. Kh1 ,Ng4
21. Be4 ,Qh4
Hmm, now before I begin let me explain some very basics...
You see its traditional to name the chess squares by an alphabet followed by a digit.
The a-h alphabets represent the vertical columns and no.s 1-8 represent the rows starting from down to top.
Its quite similar to representing coordinates of a point.
Q, K , R , B, N represent Queen, King, Rook, Bishop and Knight respectively.
Whenever a 'x' is used eg. Nxe5, which signifies that the knight has moved to e5 position and taken over the piece that was present at that square.
Hmmm, that was really basic. What I am showing below is a position, which shows some brilliant sacrifices leading to the winning of black.
Check it out...It would be more fun if you try it on ur chessboard...

The immediate move after this position was
White's move Black's move
22. g3 , Rxc3
i.e. White moved a pawn to threaten the black queen. Instead of saving his queen, the black rather took the white's knight at position c3, with his rook.
23. gxh4 , Rd2
In next move, white took black's queen with his pawn and thus moved his pawn to position h4. In Black's turn, in another shocking move, he brought his another rook to position d2, that too without any support. Moreover, if white player wouldn't have taken the rook, the black was threatening to take the pawn just above the king on behalf on Knight's support and check mate the white king.
24. Qxd2 , Bxe4+
White Queen takes the rook. In Black's turn he takes the White bishop, at position e4, whose support is now withdrawn with his own white-squared bishop, (Queen's bishop), now also delivering a check to white king. (the + sign signifies the check)
25. Qg2 , Rh3
White queen comes to block the bishop's diagonal and save his king. The black rook now comes to position h3, just one step away from checkmating the king with Rxh2 checkmate....
Now that was amazing... In fact I read that moves no. 22 and 23 are supposed to be one of the best moves in the history of chess.
Cheers!!!!!!!!

MUST READ- A commencement speech at Tulane University
I was surfing through one of the blogs i follow, and struck this....
It is one of the funniest speeches i have ever read. (which obviously are not great in number)
Ellen DeGeneres gives a commencement speech at Tulane University on May 16, 2009.

Thank you, President Cowan, Mrs. President Cowen; distinguished guests, undistinguished guests - you know who you are, honored faculty and creepy Spanish teacher. And thank you to all the graduating class of 2009, I realize most of you are hungover and have splitting headaches and haven't slept since Fat Tuesday, but you can't graduate 'til I finish, so listen up.
When I was asked to make the commencement speech, I immediately said yes. Then I went to look up what commencement meant. Which would have been easy if I had a dictionary, but most of the books in our house are Portia's, and they're all written in Australian. So I had to break the word down myself, to find out the meaning.
Commencement: common, and cement. Common cement. You commonly see cement on sidewalks. Sidewalks have cracks, and if you step on a crack, you break your mother's back. So there's that. But I'm honored that you've asked me here to speak at your common cement.
I thought that you had to be a famous alumnus - alumini - aluminum - alumis - you had to graduate from this school. And I didn't go to college here, and I don't know if President Cowan knows, I didn't go to any college at all. Any college. And I'm not saying you wasted your time, or money, but look at me, I"m a huge celebrity.
Although I did graduate from the school of hard knocks, our mascot was the knockers. I spent a lot of time here growing up. My mom worked at (?) and I would go there every time I needed to steal something out of her purse. But why am I here today? Clearly not to steal, you're too far away and I'd never get away with it.
I'm here because of you. Because I can't think of a more tenacious, more courageous graduating class. I mean, look at you all, wearing your robes. Usually when you're wearing a robe at 10 in the morning, it means you've given up. I'm here because I love New Orleans. I was born and raised here, I spent my formative years here, and like you, while I was living here I only did laundry six times. When I finished school, I was completely lost. And by school, I mean middle school, but I went ahead and finished high school anyway. And I - I really, I had no ambition, I didn't know what I wanted to do. I did everything from - I shucked oysters, I was a hostess, I was a bartender, I was a waitress, I painted houses, I sold vaccuum cleaners, I had no idea. And I thought I'd just finally settle in some job, and I would make enough money to pay my rent, maybe have basic cable, maybe not, I didn't really have a plan, my point is that, by the time I was your age, I really thought I knew who I was, but I had no idea. Like for example, when I was your age, I was dating men. So what I'm saying is, when you're older, most of you will be gay. Anyone writing this stuff down? Parents?
Anyway, I had no idea what I wanted to do with my life, and the way I ended up on this path was from a very tragic event. I was maybe 19, and my girlfriend at the time was killed in a car accident. And I passed the accident, and I didn't know it was her and I kept going, and I found out shortly after that, it was her. And I was living in a basement apartment, I had no money, I had no heat, no air, I had a mattress on the floor and the apartment was infested with fleas. And I was soul-searching, I was like, why is she suddenly gone, and there are fleas here? I don't understand, there must be a purpose, and wouldn't it be so convenient if we could pick up the phone and call God, and ask these questions.
And I started writing and what poured out of me was an imaginary conversation with God, which was one-sided, and I finished writing it and I looked at it and I said to myself, and I hadn't even been doing stand-up, ever, there was no club in town. I said, "I'm gonna do this on the Tonight Show With Johnny Carson"- at the time he was the king - "and I'm gonna be the first woman in the history of the show to be called over to sit down." And several years later, I was the first woman in the history of the show, and only woman in the history of the show to sit down, because of that phone conversation with God that I wrote. And I started this path of stand-up and it was successful and it was great, but it was hard, because I was trying to please everybody and I had this secret that I was keeping, that I was gay. And I thought if people found out they wouldn't like me, they wouldn't laugh at me.
Then my career turned into - I got my own sitcom, and that was very successful, another level of success. And I thought, what if they find out I'm gay, then they'll never watch, and this was a long time ago, this was when we just had white presidents - this was back, many years ago - and I finally decided that I was living with so much shame, and so much fear, that I just couldn't live that way anymore, and I decided to come out and make it creative. And my character would come out at the same time, and it wasn't to make a political statement, it wasn't to do anything other than to free myself up from this heaviness that I was carrying around, and I just wanted to be honest. And I thought, "What's the worst that could happen? I can lose my career". I did. I lost my career. The show was cancelled after six years, without even telling me, I read it in the paper. The phone didn't ring for three years. I had no offers. Nobody wanted to touch me at all. Yet, I was getting letters from kids that almost committed suicide, but didn't, because of what I did. And I realised that I had a purpose. And it wasn't just about me and it wasn't about celebrity, but I felt like I was being punished... it was a bad time, I was angry, I was sad, and then I was offered a talkshow. And the people that offered me the talkshow tried to sell it. And most stations didn't want to pick it up. Most people didn't want to buy it because they thought nobody would watch me.
Really when I look back on it, I wouldn't change a thing. I mean, it was so important for me to lose everything because I found out what the most important thing is, is to be true to yourself. Ultimately, that's what's gotten me to this place. I don't live in fear, I'm free, I have no secrets. and I know I'll always be ok, because no matter what, I know who I am. So In conclusion, when I was younger I thought success was something different. I thought when I grow up, I want to be famous. I want to be a star. I want to be in movies. When I grow up I want to see the world, drive nice cars, I want to have groupies. To quote the Pussycat Dolls. How many people thought it was "boobies", by the way? It's not, it's "groupies".
But my idea of success is different today. And as you grow, you'll realise the definition of success changes. For many of you, today, success is being able to hold down 20 shots of tequila. For me, the most important thing in your life is to live your life with integrity, and not to give into peer pressure. to try to be something that you're not. To live your life as an honest and compassionate person. to contribute in some way. So to conclude my conclusion: follow your passion, stay true to yourself. Never follow anyone else's path, unless you're in the woods and you're lost and you see a path, and by all means you should follow that. Don't give advice, it will come back and bite you in the ass. Don't take anyone's advice. So my advice to you is to be true to yourself and everything will be fine.
And I know that a lot of you are concerned about your future, but there's no need to worry. The economy is booming, the job market is wide open, the planet is just fine. It's gonna be great. You've already survived a hurricane. What else can happen to you? And as I mentioned before, some of the most devastating things that happen to you will teach you the most. And now you know the right questions to ask in your first job interview. Like, "Is it above sea level?" . So to conclude my conclusion that I've previously concluded, in the common cement speech, I guess what I'm trying to say is life is like one big Mardi Gras. But instead of showing your boobs, show people your brain, and if they like what they see, you'll have more beads than you know what to do with. And you'll be drunk, most of the time. So the Katrina class of 2009, I say congratulations and if you don't remember a thing I said today, remember this: you're gonna be ok, dum de dum dum dum, just dance.

Enjoy!!!
U being nice...I getting a guilt free pass???
What I am telling you is this...
Me chatting wid one of my gud old friends, who happened to be an 'atheist'.
Me- Don't you think you should be quitting fake swearing before your girl?
Fr- My girl would never come to know about it.
Me- What if she actually comes to know someday?
Fr- I'm pretty smart for it and she's too dumb to figure it out.
Me- And what about the name you are swearing under?
Fr- There is no 'he' whose name I use to swear.
Me- And supposedly if he is?
Fr- Then he'd be too nice to mind it. That's why God is.
Me- You don't believe in God?
Fr- No, I don't. And even if there is some God, he is supposed to be the superlative for nice. Right?
Me- Amm Humm...So?
Fr- So, he won't even give a damn' if I don't believe in him and misuse his name. He won't punish me for putting false promises under his name. He'd be too good to do that!
Me- :O :x
Doesn't this conversation reveal one human tendency? That we misuse one's goodness, if he's proclaimed not to feel bad about it.
So should you be revealing your anger on the person who hurt you? Or should you be just forgiving him for that???
That reminds me of one of those old statements that
If we all were better people, the world would have been a better place to live in.
Surely, if the whole world would have had the same ideology of "moving on", forgiving would have been easy; more importantly there would have been no situation of one being guilty.
But we are not good people, (leave alone the adjective better); as for world, I'm still not sure if the world is better place to live in or not.
Considering what goes today, I feel, there are times, when you need to show that you are not giving your consent to his actions; there are times you need to show, that you do not approve the person's behavior.
Coz if you stop being "all time nice" person, I would stop using my guilt free passes !!!

Got Tagged...
Ok, so Andy tags me this time...But after reading his seven characteristics, I guess this would be pretty interesting.
As for Andy, here you go:- <3
Coz u can flip it either way u like and assume whatever you want to, but I'm more than contended with this recent discovery... hehe..
Ok, as for rules :-
* Link to your original tagger(s) and list these rules in your post.
* Share seven facts about yourself in the post.
* Tag seven people at the end of your post by leaving their names and the links to their blogs.
* Let them know they have been tagged.
Here you go :
I am simple at core. Really don't understand them who wants to do things or wear things for flattering.. please dont get offended
yup..that last line reveals another of my attribute, i'm too concerned abt not making others unhappy...sure I cant go on Vito Corleone's way to get them happy...
hmmm...ya that also means I try not be aggressive. Hardly do I remember any of my fights....(marna hai kya..pit jaunga! )
ya that means i'm pretty talented and know my limits :P
hehe..just trying to put things in a different way...
sure that sums me being tactful...yeah, i even have had arguments coz i was advising what to do and what not to one of my closest frnds..
ya i love giving advices...
Infact if you happen to read a Piscean character sketch, u are bound to get adjectives for me..
so nw i need to tag others rite...
Now Andy has already tagged poor kp...but k...
since i'm already falling short of people to tag, so let it be
kp- he hasnt done the homework yet, so let it be for my subject too... :P
vince- coz i hardly remember when he wrote something recently...
arvind- not that i dnt knw him, but wud like to knw whether he does :D
aamir- i knw he may not write abt this, coz its nt related to either of us, iraq or Palestine...but its fine...i recently saw Kung Fu Panda...and so trying again..once again hitting the wall.. (sach bolun to i dnt knw anymore ppl..lol )
that finishes my list.....if anyone recently reads this...he/she too must write...
lets see hw many of these turn out to be sincere students...

PCM....THE AFTER EFFECTS
I have tried to pen down some of the hardest questions these PCM has put in front of me..and I am pretty sure you would be confused about the answers of some...
Q1) RAVI + e(-) ------> RAVE + I(-)
Lols....that was pretty simple...and that's why I kept it very first one...
Hmm...it goes tougher now...
Q2) How many Rajeev does it require to light a bulb at the height of Effil Tower?
I know some of you might be thinking infinite, some of you might be dividing height of tower by mine..Oh God! What to do of these people????
The answer is very simple...
Not possible, the lowest Rajeev would suffocate out and wouldn't be able to bear even another Rajeev's weight....After all he is 50kgs.....
I know u might be feeling the grand daddy scissors on your neck as well...but hang on...the toughest is yet to come...
Q3) How many girls would be required to collect handsome sponsorship for Ren-uh-saans?
A3)Just two...Anuja and Shilpi...They know some awesome fighting skills and will beat down anyone who refuses to produce the spon... (refer REN Spice)
Lols.....( I don't know why, but it seems more sophisticated to write lols in place of hehehe or hahaha)
Anyway, I know you are feeling screwed up...but the last one is the grandest..
Q4) How many Kps will it require to write this post??
Hmmm...another tricky question....
Some of the intelligent ones might be guessing one. Right? Naah....Think again...
Well the answer is 3. One for each chep...
Don't beat me after reading this.... I suggest you something even better...Just go and tell others about this crap article and fool others.. Remember something good will happen to you tomorrow.. (may be bumps) If you break the chain...you will regret forever..
(After all tumhara akela katega to tumse bada kata insaan kaun hoga...ok we can leave pappi and sulls..third no. pe tum hi aaoge) [:D]

HORROR
I had never felt so lonely, so nervous ever. People had been telling about it all along. Not to go there especially in nights, but Jesus! I did. The curiosity , the desire to know about the beyond drives people insane and I was no exception. I don't really now what ever became of Mark when he stepped in the haunted castle. Neither do I know if the Discovery Channel Team of Believe it or not is still alive. But I do know that once stepped in this shadow, my life can be doomed. It may never be the same again. I may be engulfed and nothing but my cold soul would be able to get out.
Hey hey!!! Don't take me too literally..
I have always felt this was just my taste.. I enjoyed it when a movie was spiced up with horror flavour..
I wrote some poetry, expressed some humor, know can write on action (At least HBK did teach something) Hmmm..but now I plan to write something on this....Hoe to make you bite your nails this time ;)

THE FLINSTONES WEDDING
Warning- The following content is total mindless chep. So, readers are kindly requested to put their brains back at home and then read this thing.
Preface- Cartoon Network generously asked me to write this thing so that people would come to know as to how actually did Fred Flinstones got married with Welma Flinstones.
First I'll let you know some major facts.
Welma Flinstones knew to speak only in hindi and Fred knew only English.
However Welma could understand English by translating word to word in Hindi and similarly did Fred understand Hindi.
Yes, of course it was an inter-caste marriage.
Story-
Welma saw Dino, (the ugly red dinasoures) sitting and moarning outside her house.
She went up to him. "Haan Bhai Dino. Tumko bhukh lagi hai kya?"
Dino nodded his head to say no. But Welma couldn't understand it and took it as a yes.
She scanned every inch of her house only to find no eatable.
"Aaj to maine jhadu bhi maar li, isliye mere pas kachra bhi nahi hai. Par main aaj gantantra divas par shapath leti hun ki jab tak main use khana nahi de deti, main koi serial nahi dekhungi."
Wiping her tears, she switched off her telivision set that was showing 'Baalika Wadhu.'
(What a sacrificing lady. She brought tears in my eyes. Hats off to her)
"Yabba Dabba Doo.....!!!" She heard a voice from neighbour's.
She peeped out through the window and saw Fred moving out in his car.
'Main uske ghar se kuch le aati hun.'
Eventually she found an open window and jumped in through it.
"Aaha. ek Mc. Donald's ka burger pada hai, wo bhi sauce ke saath."
Just then Fred entered back in his room.
"I caught you red handed," he said.
"Mujhse Shaadi Karoge?"
"Yes."
They got married and lived happily ever after.
???????
You didn't get anything?
Oops....
Well Fred said he caught her red handed.
(Red handed= laal haathon me
And do you know what 'laal haathon me' means?
It means mehendi lagayi hui for a traditional Bhartiya naari.
So, she asked him to marry her and he did.)
What a cute love story! Isn't it?
Epilogue- I told Sulls the other day that I wish to write something that will make readers prick off their hair. I guess I did make an attempt in the right direction.
Beware An-dee and Kay Pee...your toughest competitor ever has just made his debut as a cheppist.

YO POLY !!!
RJV!!! What an admirable guy! He came up with this new instrument made of polymers, in his winter project. What's so special? Well, when this instrument is activated before a person, the person will confess the fact he hates the most.
I really adore my roomie. Hope, I would have had a little more wits like he does.
OH! Sorry, I forgot to introduce myself.......
Hello! I am Abhishek Saxena. You can call me Vincent! [8)]
What comes following is what RJV is going to describe in his own words. Those are his own investigations [:)]
U inspire intelligence in me my friend!!!
SCENE 1) Vikas was standing with his back turned towards me and talking to someone. Now, he started holding his ears. Why? No, it couldn't have been Sonakshi, coz if it would have been her I'd have been able to see her face (as she's more taller than Vikas). Then? Oh, the person was moving away.
Gosh! It was AKS!!!
I reached up to Vikas and spoke out the instrument activation code :-
So, what is it
that you love to hate?
"AKS's the shark,
and I'm his bait."
I should have realized that before! Ah! I wasted up a turn. Who'd be my next victim!!
SCENE 2) Vikas hates AKS the most. I was curious enough to know the fact, that AKS hated
the most. As it is he's always frustrated. Perhaps, there is something deep down his heart he isn't able to confess. (Knock Knock) "Come In, Kya laga raha hai aapne. Kabhi bhi aa jaate hain!"
Instead of replying I spoke out my code:-
So, what is it
that you love to hate?
"I'm like my smile.
We both aren't straight."
Ahemm!!! I quickly slipped off his room. I guess Shweta, you were right after all! And I guess you got your answer though. Oh! Time for Organic Class.
I went upstairs. I was late already. Pappi was displaying some page of Fuckel, sorry Huckel Rule of Aromaticity.
SCENE 3) Hmmmm!!!! I need to know what this lady hates the most.
So, what is it
that you love to hate?
"My figure's aspect. Hmmm!
I wanna lose my weight."
OMG! She's still concerned about her fi...Oh The very moment she got snapped out of the code's hypnotism. "The probability of getting into it..Hmmm," she continued with her explanation. I had got my answer as well..... :D
SCENE 4) It was 1. I had my lunch and was returning from Mess. Arvind had bought these cool binoculars for his RAVE ROADIES event. It really gave a close view of distant objects. Hey what's that I'm seeing? A bald head! Sulls in Boys Hostel? NA!!!! The bald head seems fairer.
Then is it Kapes or Mohit???
I lowered the binoculars with a jerk and the viewpoint got focussed on the mouth.
:O
Its moving continouosly!!! Non-stop!!!!!!!!
It couldn't be Mohit. It is none other but Kapes. Ah! I could check out what he hates the most!
So, what is it
that you love to hate?
"I'm turning Sulls,
And this is my fate!"
Err! mmmm....yup you have this subject, this chep and now a hair style common as well...
SHHHHH!!
I must keep this secret so that my former roomie doesn't turn out on me....SHHHHH!!!!
SCENE 5) "I'd been searching for you all over," I said when Kapes came to his senses. "I was with "&D " (Andy) discussing on this RAVE online event. "
{P.S.- &D was written as a tribute to Andy's chep. A chep from my side. lolzzz }
"So, what's in mess?" After telling him the details I made my way to his room as he went to the mess.
Aamir was still sleeping and seemed out cold analogous to Tom in those cartoons.
I wake him up and said out the code-
So, what is it
that you love to hate?
"Go away. Its just one.
I slept again late."
Poor Chap!!! chchch...I thought!
Oh! Hey hey wait!!!! OH I published this post???
Oh shit! Damn' Vincy, if only you wouldn't have used another of my discovery- "the truth writing" instrument on me, I'd have not written this stuff. I just can't remember how to delete this post. Did you also use that "specific memory erasing" instrument on me?
You're done Vincy!!! You're done!!!!!!
I really adore my roomie. Hope, I would have had a little more wits like he does.

{P.S.- &D was written as a tribute to Andy's chep. A chep from my side. lolzzz }

One night after the call centre
22nd August 2015. Time 22.15
Mota beta licked up his ice cream, which he held in his right hand and then took a bite of a chocolate bar which he held in his left hand.He was standing at Saharanpur Railway Station.
But before I begin further let me introduce Mota beta.
Mota beta is now an alumni of DPT. After completing his graduation he thought of going to software field and make games like AOE. But just then when he was giving his interview his stomach cried and he realized that in a software job he'll have to work day and night and will then get to maintain the circular shape of his tummy so he left the interview.Mota beta joined two hotels but from each place he was kicked within one week as he ate half of what he served and termed it as 'chapo'. Eventually, he decided to join a call center at Saharanpur (Of course, call centres opened up at Saharanpur too. Remember we are talking of 2015? Are you thinking why didn't he join at Chennai?.....Coz he knew much cheaper places to eat here and used to screw Raju and Sonu telling them that he was their Cafe Secy.) Ya, so I was telling he joined a call center at Saharanpur to make up for his eating and so he worked during day time. (He was too busy playing AOE at night).
Ahemm enough of the introduction, now moving on to the incident-
Mota beta was standing aloof from the mob because he didn't like when anyone dared to disturb him during eating. The recently started train for Chennai was late. Half of his ice cream was still left and so he was totally concentrated on his cone. Just then he heard a voice from behind, "Haan bhaai, station pe he na? Hummmm!"
Mota beta about turned in the voice's direction. A cylindrical lady who seemed at least of 8O kgs. was standing behind, hiding herself in a pink jacket and white scarf. Mota beta all of a sudden remembered the fox from Little Red Riding Hood with the scarf on seeing her. Her voice seemed vaguely familiar. Perhaps he had heard it in Zee Horror Show. No!! No!!! That show stopped long back. Then where? Ring?? No! That witch did not used to wear a scarf. Did she? She used to wear something white and had a better figure. Mmmm..then where??Connexions? No, then voice wouldn't have seemed that familiar.Where? Where? Mota beta apparently was unable to recollect it. He stood aside leaning against a closed shop and stuffed the remaining chocolate bar in his mouth. "Haaan bhai," the voice again continued, "Yahaan hum dono hi hain to main tumhi se baat kar rahi hun. Hummmm!"
"Aaap meri class me the na??" she asked again. Now that Mota heard that he had studied in her class; now he could remember her perfectly. She had taught him. "Madam," he finally made it out. " Only that she had became more cylindrical and had developed a belly that could challenge Mota's. She stepped a bit in front and now her face was clearly visible under the tubelight. "Remember I used to teach you mm..Fluid, no no thermodynamics, no no yes enveeranment!" God! Impressive! She knew so many technical terms!!!! Mota almost stunned by her knowledge couldn't speak out a word. "Main kya karun. Meri talent ko dekhkar har saal mujhe naya aur hard subject padhane de dete hain. This year I am teaching Phyjics to firsht year. Actually main har subject padha sakti hun," she declared. "Yes madam," said out Mota. " Actually I prepare a lot to teach in the claas." ""But howcum you are here madam?" he interrupted her. "My aaspect of coming here ij that I waj giving a guesht lecture at IIT Dehra Dun, wo jo abhi naya naya khula hai na? Hummmm? I give lectures there as better half of the proffeshors." "Behalf... you mean behalf madam?"
"Yes. Yes that only. Students don't study theej days. Ab tumhare samay me to main tumhe utha leti thi...Hummm par ab bacchhe padhte hi nahi hain to main number nahi de paati." Mota was at the verge of crying but that seemed to have no effect on her. She continued, "I waj teaching them Makhshwell equajons but unko kuch samajh me hi nahi aata. I taught them that down triangle into E ij equal to d into b upon d into t. But you see, Makshwell waj a fool. d aur d canchel nahi ho jayega kya?" Mota Beta at once felt really pity on the poor children. But with multi-talented Pappi, they couldn't expect anything better. "Are you alone? No one came to drop you?"Mota asked to change the subject. "Kyon Bhai?" and she gave a V-shaped smile. Mota at once realized that he had asked the wrong question to the wrong person, but it was too late. She had got the chance to blabber and she wasn't going to give it away. She continued, "Kyon Bhai? Akele wala aspect hai kya? Sharma ji aye hain na." (Sharma was her husband's surname.) "O.K. Sir has also come," he spoke more to him than to her. "Kaun Sir? Main to mere driver ka aspect bata rahi thi. Mujhe raat ko wahi chhodta hai." [:D] Mota was about to pull his hair off. "Baal ka enveeranment kharab hai kya? Leech wala aaspect hai? Hummmm!!" she once again proved that she was an IIT prof.
Mota wasn't willing to continue any further dishcushuns, i mean discussions and so he signalled her that he was going to toilet with his little finger. "Haan bhai. Jaldi aana."
"Actually Madam, I am going to fresh up," and he lifted his second finger as well. "Kam khaya karo," she announced with her expert knowledge. Mota went to toilet that too on some other platform taking his luggage with him and sat in for fifteen minutes hoping she would leave by then. He finally came out, held back his luggage and came back to his original platform. She was still standing there. "Haan bhai, aa gaye!!" she exclaimed. Just then a train came blowing up its whistle and Mota at once felt relieved that now he could sit in the train and would not have to listen to her. He held up his luggage and jumped inside the train.
"S4 seat 28....yeah there it is," he made out to his seat. "Haan bhai ye bag seat ke neeche rakh do," he heard the voice. He raised his eyes to discover Sharma Ji putting the bag under the berth. "Madam ji ka dhyan rakhna, unka ye opposite berth hai," Sharma Ji told and left......... leaving Mota and the train, both crying out at the same time............................

Tests ...Time and again...
No, I am not talking about the mid sems or end sems here... Rather, I am talking about life and the tests it offers us.. yes 'Kasauti Zindagi ki' and each time u ought to prove your worth.
You achieve something, u hear "You are lucky"....
You innovate something, u receive " God really favours you a lot."
Why doesn't it occur to them that its not your luck but your talent, its not the God, but your work too...
Creditability would be hardly offered to you lest you brag about it...
Does that mean you must keep reminding your worth time and again?
I guess that's how it goes...
U either need to get out of other wild animals and only then will other creatures realize you as the Royal Lion. But how???
While you are with them sometimes you'll suppress your talent and try to show it in some other field so that no one says you are a copycat.. Coz even if u excel in the field, people would rather credit the initiator than you for your success .....
But I believe you are pulled down for anything you do...and if it is the case then there is no point in suppressing yourself for other's initiation.
Iff you are able to convince them that its your talent, not your luck, its your skill and not your fate, its your determination and not god's interference, then your worth is justified....!!!!

MoMeNtS...the silent memorandum
Moments, not for capturing but for remembering, for propagating.............
Moments, that you witness once in a lifetime...moments which on sharing touches your heart and hits a music of its own your chords....
Yes, they can be emotional, sweet or sour.....
But what I am going to narrate is the sweetest moment of someone's life....
A moment which neither she would forget nor her mother.
Its about a four year old girl. Her mother was doing B.A. from some college and so was unable to look after her, as her father used to work for the whole day....so she kept her daughter at her mama's house. For one whole month the girl lived there. She did as directed, didn't disturb anyone, nor did she ask anyone why was she left here, or questioned about her parents. Yes, the girl never smiled nor laughed....she was in kg1 and used to go to school with her cousins in a rickshaw and come back with them. One day when she got down from her rickshaw and turned to her house, she started laughing like some mad person.....laughed, laughed, laughed and laughed for minutes non-stop. She brought her hands to her mouth, but was still laughing; sat down at the place where she was standing, in middle of the road. Everyone that was passing by stopped to see what had happened. The girl seemed to loose her control. Why was she laughing so much???
Well, she had seen her mother standing at the door. The mother almost in tears, couldn't control her. Her voice had choked. She was even unable to call out the name of her daughter, her legs seemed to have frozen. But she almost ran to her daughter and hugged her the tightest she could.
Was this a very big incident??? No, it may not be the most fascinating thing you would read but it was the most precious moment that the mother and the girl shared together, something they would never ever forget, something that they would cherish forever.....
Its very rare that you find such moments......So relish them if you find one...
